Would you recommend it?
I would recommend my school to others for a variety of reasons. The grounds are well maintained, and aren't often vandalised (a trait I find common amongst neighbouring schools). The teachers are very kind, supportive, and create an interactive environment that not only encourages education, but makes it fun.
What had the biggest impact
Definitely the teachers. The teachers have had a largely positive impact on me, as the memories created with my fellow peers due to my teachers contributions will never be forgotten.

Year 12 subject choices
I chose General English, Math Methods, PED, Psychology, Physics and Certificate III in Fitness. I chose a mix of academic related and sports related subjects, as they both were fun, interactive and generally interesting.
Getting extra help
If a student was struggling in a core subject, it was very easy to access teachers or others for help. E-mails are always open, and there are tutorials for math's, science's and English's throughout the week that are open to everyone.
Readiness for life after school
I felt very prepared after high school. The teachers were more than teachers, they were friends. They all gave great advice on how to proceed after high school, all telling stories of their own steps into the real world. Using their advice, it made the switch between high school and the real world very easy.
Subject range and curiosity
Brisbane Bayside State College offered a large diversity of subject choices, such as psychology, agriculture, design, art, and more. These classes always have students signing up for them, and a large positive response was received via a more diverse subject selection.
Bullying and getting to school safely
Bullying has not been an issue at Brisbane Bayside State College. The school has a more positive community, where bullies are more shunned, therefore discouraging bullying. Getting to and from school has felt safe, as not long after the bell rings at the end of the day, the scheduled bus arrives. If any external factors or events are affecting getting to and from school, there will almost always be an alert sent to parents, as well as a lockdown at school. Emergency services are contacted, if the situation constitutes it.
Camps and excursions
My favourite memory from a school excursion was from a futsal tournament. The tournament was part of an external group, yet was hosted by the school. This event really showcased how Brisbane Bayside State College encourages extra curricula activities.
Something only students would know
The sport house group named 'Dabobila' is the worst in terms of performance. They rarely ever win anything, and everyone in the school knows it. Its a recurring joke.
Coaching and chances to compete
Brisbane Bayside State College's programs have helped students, myself included, with chances to compete in school teams and at higher levels. Inter-school sports has always been popular, and higher level sports teams have been successful for sports such as Volleyball, Basketball, Oz-Tag and Futsal. For all of the mentioned sports, there has always been ongoing training to enhance the students playing abilities.
Chances to take part in the arts
The opportunities to participate in arts programs is vast at Brisbane Bayside State College. The school is equipped with its own art gallery, to showcase past students arts. The school commonly hosts musicals, so drama students can see what performing on the big stage feels like. The reception for these musicals has been especially positive.
