Would you recommend it?
I think that for people who can be self-sufficient and fend for themselves a little, this school is great and provides a huge amount of opportunities. However, for less advantaged people, I wouldn’t recommend it as it isn’t the kindest if you’re not proactive. For example, I had this friend who was falling behind in terms of grades and schoolwork. Where the school could have helped her improve to where she once was, they instead punished her.
What had the biggest impact
Being a Prefect and also a part of the Tech Team was great in developing personal skills. I felt in both roles the main connecting thread was that I worked in a team with other people. This really helped develop my teamwork and collaboration skills. Mr Tacon is also good.

Year 12 subject choices
Maths Methods and Specialist - good at math and was fun Literature - why not, had to do an English subject anyways. Japanese, personal interest Digital Solutions - love programming and want a career in IT Visual Art - it was the best option of the available subjects in the remaining line.
Getting extra help
Depends on how hard you looked and how much you were willing to put up with. There’s tutoring available after school and you can always talk to your teachers. It just depends on how much extra effort you’re willing to put in.
Readiness for life after school
Pretty good, and the school largely did a good job of preparing us though the uni applications.
Subject range and curiosity
Yes, it was quite good. It was mainly the teachers that made the subjects so enjoyable. It was less about the subjects themselves and more about how they were taught. Obviously, being a skilled teacher was important, but what really sealed the deal was when they were funny and chill, and treated us like adults.
Bullying and getting to school safely
Bullying was quite an issue and in a lot of cases they don’t do very much about it. It was mainly verbal bulling, often specifically fuelled by homophobia or transphobia.
Camps and excursions
It tried to be strict but failed mostly. Pretty progressive as far as admin and teachers go, students mostly stuck to groups (especially in later years) and it was hard to find an in.

There is a cardboard cutout of Mr Fozard in his office. Ask him about it.
Chances to take part in the arts
AMAZING. So many events for performing arts, art gallery tours (with student artwork), student film screenings in actual cinemas
