Would you recommend it?
I would recommend the high school to students that live in the area, as my graduating cohort (2023) received a high average ATAR score. The school also offers a wide variety of clubs, such as, theatre, photography, and various sporting opportunities.
What had the biggest impact
The teachers had the biggest impact on me, as a majority of my grade 12 teaching staff always went out of their way to build strong connections with students, as well as putting in extra effort to ensure that every student succeeded to the best of their abilities. Their support greatly aided my academic achievements.

Year 12 subject choices
I did general math, general English, psychology, geography, ancient history and legal studies. I chose them as I enjoy social studies and I wanted to pursue a career in law. These subjects were ideal and what interested me most. However, originally I was going to do biology instead of geography, but due to schedules clashing, I had to take geography. In the end I’m very happy with those subjects and I do not regret any of them.
Getting extra help
Students had a lot of access to help at my high school. Many teachers were available to help after classes, and were contactable through email. There was also weekly homework help in the library. Many students relied on each other for help in most cases.
Readiness for life after school
Once I graduated, I was a bit unsure of how I felt going in to university, but after a year, I feel like going in to university I was not fully prepared, but it is easy to get the hang of. Most of the first semester was content I learned in high school, so I felt relatively prepared and had a strong base of prior knowledge.
Subject range and curiosity
There were quite limited class options, since we did not have enough students to fill each class. Furthermore, some subjects clashed with others, so many people were not able to choose the classes they wanted.
Inclusion and bullying
The school is mostly inclusive, with acceptance and celebration of the LGBTQIA+ community, and support systems for our international students. However, there was rare instances where staff or students acted inappropriately towards minority groups. I have also heard rumours of bullying, but there was no evidence to support these rumours. Although there are rare instances where discrimination is an issue, deputies and other staff were quick to react and ensured appropriate punishment was enacted.
Camps and excursions
My school is relatively strict with its uniform and conduct, however, other than that, it was a casual school where staff and deputies took the time to build personal connections with the students. On the other hand, most students lacked motivation to study and were usually laid back in relation to academics. By the final grade, most people had set friend groups, but they would also regularly made friends outside their group.
Something only students would know
There are many inside jokes and other insider knowledge regarding the teaching staff at my high school. For example, most students would know two geography teachers who are best friends will make fun of each other for their height or hair loss. It is a loveable relationship known to all students.
